A BIT OF HISTORY
Great food in a great place
Independent family owned cafe' and coffee shop with a licensed bar situated inside Medway Wharf Marina on the banks of the picturesque River Medway. Starting out as a pet shop in 2016 they quickly identified that the needs of the dog walkers, ramblers and river users were not being met with no refreshment areas or toilets on the very busy stretch of river between Yalding and Teston. In 2017 Ramblers Rest was opened and ran alongside the pet shop developing into what it is today, a licensed cafe' with a safe large and secure free car park supporting inside and alfresco dining in a beautiful part of the Garden of England Walls ices are house favorites whilst the selection of beers and spirits don't disappoint. Today with extensive menus of food and drink. Jon and Lesley now move forward with Phase 3, the expansion of the take away side of Ramblers Rest including the development of Roast in a Box .
Events
With our location in the county, we are very privalidged to be able to put on various events. Not far from London and some of the major roads and towns in Kent we regularly hold well supported entertainment. Check below for updates.

Every Wednesday throughout Summer fron 6pm - 9pm.Secure gated parking, hot/cold food and drinks, bar, good music and Governers Choice for Best Bike on the night in his opinion and Bonnie's Choice for Best British Bike in her opinion and are awarded at 8pm.
